RM of Hazelwood’s story
The Rural Municipality of Hazelwood No. 94 sits in the southeast part of Saskatchewan. It incorporated as a rural municipality on January 1, 1913.
One piece of that early era still stands: the Bekevar Hungarian Presbyterian Church, built in 1911 in Bekevar. It is the only historical property recognized within the RM.
Today agriculture is the municipality's major industry, and Moose Mountain Provincial Park lies within its boundaries. The RM is run by an elected council and an appointed administrator, with its office in Kipling.
